I don't see why you couldn't do what you're saying... for it to be precise, you'd have to be dead on balls straight on all you're tracks. I've seen replacement table tops for sale online and I've also seen damaged goods sales where the saw was destroyed

Own a Ryobi 10" table saw. Need to add extensions to enable me to cut larger pieces of wood?
Oct 07, 2007 by Thomas C | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
In stead of extensions I opted for cylinder stands to accommodate larger wood. I can cut 4x8 sheets of plywood with the aid of these stands. I use on in feed side out upon side and as out riggers.
By the way Ryobi is a subsidiary of Ridged tool

Looking for suggestions on my Ryobi table saw?
Nov 11, 2009 by gimpalomg | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I have a Ryobi 10" table saw. It does two things I don't outstandingly like and was wondering if anyone had found a cure for either or both conditions.
1. The saw table is an aluminum alloy of some sort. It will leave marks on wood
Paraffin wax is what my senate maker neighbor suggested I use on my saw's table surface.
As far as the other problem, have you tried using actual grease? Might be quality a shot.
