I have assume from the advantages of HVLP paint sprayer in woodworking magazines but auto painting books/guides only mention habitual high pressure sprayers.
Almost all automotive painting is done with an HVLP setup these days. Brand-new base/clearcoat finishes probably won't work with your old high-pressure rig, in fact. you can't fix a sprinkle in a polyurethane finish.
