Yes and No....
A archetype coil nailer would drive the nail in too tight... you actually need to be able to move the vinyl siding side to side right-minded a bit, when it is fastened to the wall.
However, a coil nailer CAN be modified by

Im upsetting to install 12'x8" lap siding over masonite. I have very little help and experience and even less funds. I am mechanically inclided as an electrician. I was told to use a circles nailer to prevent damaging the suface of the siding but
