For a Porter Cable Brad Nailer, where do I add the oil?
Dec 05, 2007 by peter b | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
In the handbook, they said to add 5 drops to the gun. Do I put the drops directly inside where the gun connects to the hose? ( The masculine end)
After I add the oil, is it ok to hook the gun directly up to the air compressor to use it?
Put the oil drops in in the inlet airport (where the air hose connects). Yes, you can start using the gun after the oil is added. However bound the gun a few times on a scrap piece of wood so the excess oil will blow out. If you don't oil may get on

Which floor nailer is better, the Porter Cable FCN200 or the Senco SHF50?
Mar 27, 2007 by jackyyboy | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
The Senco Nailer costs more and I've reach-me-down it before and it works well, just wondering if the Porter Cable works just as well since it's $200 cheaper.
When it comes to tools cheaper isn't bettor, Senco is the one you want. I'm sure Porter Cable makes a good tool, I just haven't found it, every one I've ever purchased has not met my expectations.

They say I can't do framing nailer with this air compressor

That is a rather small compressor for a framing nailer. It will depend on how fast you nail. If your like me it will work only just fine. If your a carpenter it may be too small. The nailer will use so much air that the compressor will run a lot.
