I have a Fluke 87 iii and I would like to use it to see if I have a unsound outlet or broken appliance. I was given the Fluke 87 iii from someone a while ago and cannot ask them for assistance. All the symbols and stuff mix up me. Can I use it? I'm reading

What does it mean if your ohmmeter (Fluke 87 in my case) has a negative resistance value, or oscillates?

Leave for voltage on the circuit. It may be induced from another source, the only other possibilities were already mentioned. By the way, I dislike digitals for most uses. Too responsive to induced voltages, hence false and misleading information.

I have a determination between the fluke 87 or some other type of fluke meters for basic circuit analysis and must have a hold feature and also i might want a rs232 adapter
