how to buy obsolete parts for a makita miter saw model # 2401b?

I have a makita replica # 2401b miter saw with a broken handle cover and it seems to be obsolete it sure is funny i can get every part i need from makita with the ex ception of this and the motor casing wich is the main item because without it i might
The think the other parts are available, is because they are probably used on other models.
If you manage to find an identical model acclimated to somewhere (will probably take forever), it will probably turn the one you have into the donor

Im in the sell and my biggest concern is fit and finish .
I do custom trim, cabinets, doors, exc.. my old dewalt is on its way out and I dont like the new dewalts that I have seen and tried. Im reflective, makita, ridgid, or maybe bosch. I need
Most saws with dependable names will work if you maintain the accuracy. My preference is DeWalt only because there is a DeWalt store around (and I don't have to deal with Home Despot for things like crown stops, etc.

Ok i pretty much have it down to three/four
1. Makita LS1013FL or the LS1214FL
2. DeWalt DW718
3. Fixed MS1290LZ
or any other you can suggest
Its needs to be "easy" to use

be able to
dewalt. we beat out the crap out of ours. use it every day.One of the few tools in our arsenal we havent had to replace. get the sliding if you can afford it .they are pricey.but importance the money if you use it often
