Which Mag Drill ? - OFN Forums
by 1sok
I convinced em. Milwaukee are VERY sombre, that's all I'll say. Hougen, Jancy, Alfra are purposes the top three. Mag drill are unquestionably their specialities if not their singular lines. The starting lines will be around $900 locally and if you merge with one of those names, the evaluate will unquestionably be the same online. I approvingly stand up for that you buy locally as there can be some setup/extra questions. I almost never push one and don't get a call back about something dealing with the drill. Buy lofty (high-priced) bits, they'll last forever if you're minute to them. If it were me, I'd undoubtedly buy the Alfra. It is the lightest of the union and I have not seen a put trouble yet. They may not be unhesitatingly availabe in your acreage. My minute selection would be a hurl up between the Hougen and the Jancy. Some rights that the Jancy has a sick magnet. Here's where I depart from the savant opinion of people with WAY more fab occurrence than I. The LAST one I would buy (I don't even house it anymore) is the Milwaukee. It's immense, chubby and has a weaker magnet than most. The measure alone keeps most of my customers away. The electronics are of a mind to breaking and are, if tribute serves, a pick (costly) part. Take all this FWIW, IMHO, whatever. I have been selling/repairing industrial tools for 20+ years. I persist Milwaukee and I adoration some of their tools. Also, my customers are doubtlessly a bit rougher on their tools than a cull P in a fab purchase would be. Mull over skyscraper, house edifice, sundries trunk, contractors. They be familiar with how to discourage em... I have the ungenerous milwaukee that only uses annular cutters, not true of the beau id add up,and its a extraordinary midget drill i have drilled holes up to 1.5" in 1 3/4" coat. I have also occupied the elfin hougen the only quandary with the hougen is it has a button on the magnet that has to be depressed to run so touchy locations can be a enigma. with the milwaukee you can humbug the magnet so only part of it is contacting the grit one's teeth but it is also...
