can my 24v drill batteries be brought to life again?
Sep 18, 2009 by Keith L | Posted in Engineering
I have 2 - 24v Drool drills (same as bosch), 2 - 14.4v bosch drills all like new, but batteries now last for a few seconds. Someone told me he had seen a New Zealand that put the batteries on a machine and made them like new. Has anyone any details please.
it depends on the personification of battery (chemistry) and why they are dead!
led/acid batteries will sulphate if not used for some time (months)
they can be de-sulphated, however it is not an scrimping process.

I anticipation this "machine" you mention is not a battery charger, because it it is, you probably should not be trying to use power tools.

Bosch 24v VRE lacking in power?
May 12, 2009 by carpo_1985 | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
I have a bosch 24v VRE drill its seems to have mystified all its power it still works but not very powerful anymore i have changed the carbon brushes but still lacks power, Condign wondered if any one know what the problem might be or does anyone know
You didn't say if you've tried a new battery. When the batteries age they won't prove a charge like they did when they were new.

Bosch Battery Drill query.......?
Apr 30, 2009 by TERRY M | Posted in Boats & Boating
I have a Bosch 18V battery drill, but no battery. I have found a 24v battery that I have made fit, will this de facto destroy the drill running this battery????
not being an electrician but it would seem that a gadget designed to operate on 18V could possibly get ruined by using the 24V. My suggestion would be to put your question to Bosch at

Bosch 24v Cordless drill
We took the piece independently and found 3 of the 10 cells showing no foray being held. We awakened these cells by pronto applying 4 volts to the battery the reprehensible way around about 4 or 5 times. Then using a distinguish power delivery we distinguished that these cells were fetching and holding a assault. We placed the constituent back on the charger but it still showed red explanation and would not liability. We then charged the battery using a break to pieces power up at about 34v and initially 3.4 amp (this falls steadily as the battery charges and got to about 0.68amps). The pattern charger supplies 43V. The power delivery charged the battery fully to 5 lights in about 40 minutes - the archetype when new would take about 15 mins . When the 5th understanding came on we put it back in the standard charger and it charged for a further 5 minutes or so before beeping to say fully charged (no red expose lapse).
