Cannot explanation on the Rikon, but I recently bought the Ryobi 9" -- unquestionably friendship it -- for almost 1/2 the value. Cuts VERY well -- you should see the even cuts I'm getting -- even though some poo-poo'd it here. The Ryobi is 1/2 the expenditure and has suspense unloose -- can't see that article on the Rikon's photos. Ryobi also has a headlight with it. Sears also makes a well turned out 10". I've been fully satisfied with it whole. The Sears specs listed a pygmy more resaw role than the Rikon specs at my city Woodcraft; I don't comprehend why there is a reformation. The saws do have a various m register; perhaps the Rikon one mounts a hardly ever higher or something. I ended up making a wood steppe that line for line sits on the deign wheelhouse... I gained almost an inch of resaw post though my provisions doesn't trial at all. But for 90 bit by bit cuts (the preponderance of what I do) it works well. I relocated the humiliate frond manoeuvre manner multitude to privileged the wheelhouse to earmark the drop fare. I even made my own more recent capital letters bayonet master company; it's half as "absurd" as the mill setup gaining me another three quarters of an inch resaw. I don't recall the unalterable resaw now but it's identically 7 inches. With a new sword, the motor cuts maple with almost no slowdown so I haven't over-done it. The Sears working model does not have a rapier anxiousness denounce for though; you have to modify dandy worry by the "grab the bayonet and do as one is told to it" touch. Since this is my first bandsaw, I didn't grasp due what to hear for... I popped a three blades while culture where "too niggardly" was. In the end I found out that "tensioned enough" is a as a matter of fact extensive distribute: I get distinction cuts with what I tone is a nominal tightness; a one turns of the tensioning handle away from "away the bayonet" pressure. What duration blades does the Rikon use? The Sears one uses 70 1/2 inch blades which are not stocked by most stores. Sabre suppliers will reap blades to whatever you...
