Cannot explanation on the Rikon, but I recently bought the Ryobi 9" -- unquestionably friendship it -- for almost 1/2 the value. Cuts VERY well -- you should see the even cuts I'm getting -- even though some poo-poo'd it here. The Ryobi is 1/2 the expenditure and has suspense unloose -- can't see that article on the Rikon's photos. Ryobi also has a headlight with it. Sears also makes a well turned out 10". I've been fully satisfied with it whole. The Sears specs listed a pygmy more resaw role than the Rikon specs at my city Woodcraft; I don't comprehend why there is a reformation.
