problem with craftsman permanently lubricated air compressor ?

I have a craftsman air compressor likeness no 919.165250 5hp, 25 gal tank that has started to act strange. Two weeks ago I used it and all was fine, yesterday I plugged it in, it ran for about 10 seconds dimming a florescence discover, running at about
Either the start capacitor went bad, or the centrifugal strike for the start windings, or the start windings, went bad.
If it is the capacitor, it will work fine when you make good on it, if it doesn't, it's time to get a new motor.

Craftsman Air Compressor - buzzes and wont fill?

mock-up information: 125 PSI 4 Gal 1 HP Craftsman Air Compressor.
When I plug it in it makes a buzzing sound but then nothing. No motor excursions or anything.
Anyone have an idea what I can have checked? Sears doesn't

I understand air coming from the regulator area but I am unsure about whether it is the regulator or the gauges or.... Sears, of path, doesn't provide any help. They just want you to buy all new parts on trial and error. There is not a parts area within

I wanton the manual and now my air compressor just builds pressure until it hits the emergency blow off. Either I set it up wrong or the regulator died after 3 uses.
